Does Smart One come with channels?

No. Smart One has no channels, films or series of its own: it plays the playlist you get from your IPTV provider. Add it once and everything is laid out for you in Live TV, TV guide, Movies and Series.

How do I add a playlist?

On the first screen, pick one of the three ways around the ring. Later, go to Settings → Playlists → Add playlist. Swipe to Xtream Codes, M3U link or M3U file, type the playlist name first (it's required), fill in the rest and tap “Add playlist”. Smart One checks that the playlist works before saving it.

Xtream Codes or M3U link: which one should I choose?

If your provider gave you a server URL, a username and a password, choose Xtream Codes: you get categories, posters, the TV guide and catch-up. Choose M3U link if you have a single link, or M3U file for a file saved on your phone. If you paste an M3U link that is really an Xtream Codes account, Smart One notices and uses Xtream Codes on its own.

Where do I find my Xtream Codes details?

In the message your provider sent when you subscribed. The server URL often ends with a port, as in http://server.com:8080. If all you have is a long get.php link, tap “Paste a link” and the server URL, username and password are filled in for you.

How do I switch between playlists?

Open Sections (swipe up the bar at the bottom of the screen, or tap it) and pick a playlist in the switcher, or go to Settings → Playlists. The one you're watching is marked “In use”. Favorites, history and collections are kept separately for each playlist. The Free plan holds one playlist; Smart One Premium has no limit.

My playlist won't add. What should I check?

Check the server URL, including http:// and the port, and type the username and password exactly as your provider wrote them: capitals count. If the app says the account isn't active or has expired, only your provider can fix it. For an M3U link, make sure it opens in a web browser too.

Where are my playlists from the old version?

When you updated, Smart One 2.0 brought over what the old version had saved on this phone: playlists, favorites, history, the parental lock PIN, the language and finished downloads. A playlist added from an M3U file may need to be added again if the old version didn't keep the file. Premium carries over too; if it doesn't show, tap Settings → Restore purchases.

Some channels, films or series are missing

Smart One shows exactly what your provider sends. If something is missing, the provider has removed or renamed it, or moved it to another category; try the search, or ask your provider.

A channel buffers or freezes. What can I do?

Smart One already tries other stream addresses and reconnects on its own. If it keeps freezing, move closer to your router or switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi, stop other devices that use the same subscription (many plans allow one connection at a time) and try again outside the evening rush. If every channel freezes, your provider's server is probably overloaded: contact your provider.

How does Continue watching work?

Smart One remembers where you stopped in every film and episode and offers to resume from there. A title watched beyond 95 % counts as finished. You can remove an item from Continue watching, and Undo brings it back if you change your mind.

How do I watch in fullscreen?

Turn your phone sideways, or tap the fullscreen button in the player. Turning it back upright, or going back, leaves fullscreen without closing the player. To always start in fullscreen, switch on the option in Settings.

How do I change subtitles or the audio language?

In the player, open its settings: audio, subtitles, fit, aspect, speed and the sleep timer are all on one panel. “Caption style” changes the size, colour and background of subtitles. The tracks on offer depend on the stream.

Why is the TV guide empty?

The guide comes from your provider, and some providers send none. For an M3U playlist, add a TV guide link in Settings → Playlists → your playlist → TV guide (your provider can give you one), then tap “Refresh guide”. Channels without listings show “No information”.

The guide times are off by an hour or more

Some providers send their guide in another time zone. In your playlist's TV guide options, adjust “Guide time shift” in 30-minute steps until the programmes match what's on screen.

What is catch-up, and why do only some channels have it?

Catch-up lets you watch programmes that have already aired, or restart the one that is on from its beginning. It only works with Xtream Codes playlists, on the channels your provider records, for as many days as it keeps them. Those channels carry a catch-up mark: tap a past programme in the TV guide or in the player to watch it.

My reminder didn't go off

A reminder is a notification that arrives 5 minutes before the programme. Check that notifications are on for Smart One in the iOS Settings app, and that a Focus mode isn't silencing them. Removing a playlist also cancels its reminders.

How do I add favorites?

Tap the star on a channel, film, series or episode. Your favorites appear on Home and under Favorites in each section. Removed one by mistake? Tap Undo and it goes back to its place.

What are collections?

Collections are your own lists, each with a name and a colour: one for match day, one for Friday's film, one for a series marathon. Creating a collection needs Smart One Premium; the collections you already have stay usable if Premium ends.

How do I set up the parental lock?

Go to Settings → Parental lock, choose a 4-digit PIN, then lock whole sections, categories or single channels for each playlist. Locked items ask for the PIN. Once you enter it, the playlist stays open until you tap “Lock again” or restart the app.

I forgot my parental lock PIN

We can't recover it. The PIN is kept only as a scrambled code on your phone, and neither we nor Support can read or reset it. The only way out is to delete Smart One and install it again, which also removes your playlists, favorites, downloads and settings. Keep your provider's details at hand before you do; Premium comes back with Restore purchases.

What's the difference between Free and Smart One Premium?

Free: one playlist, with ads. Smart One Premium: unlimited playlists, collections, whole-season downloads and no ads. Everything else, including Scores, Chromecast, Support and single downloads, is in both plans.

I subscribed but the app still says Free

Tap Settings → Restore purchases while signed in with the Apple ID you subscribed with. If it still says Free, open a ticket in Support with the topic Subscription.

How do I cancel Smart One Premium?

Apple manages the subscription: open the iOS Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Smart One and cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Deleting the app does not cancel it.

Which leagues come first in Scores?

Our preferred leagues are pinned at the top; every other league is under “More leagues”, with a search. Use the Live filter to see only the matches being played, and the date strip for yesterday, tomorrow or any day in the calendar.

What does “Watch” do on a match?

It searches the live channels of your playlist for the teams or the league and lists what it finds. Smart One has no streams of its own, so when nothing matches you see “No channel found in your playlist”.

How do I contact support?

Open Support from Sections and tap “New ticket”: pick a topic, write your question, and our reply appears in the app with a badge on Support. No account or e-mail address is needed, and it works even before you add a playlist. You can also use “Email us” in Settings.

Should I share my playlists with support?

Only if your question is about a playlist. When you tick “Share my playlists with support”, our team sees the server, username and password of your playlists so it can test them, and they are erased when the ticket is closed. Without the tick, nothing about your playlists is sent.

Why can't I open a ticket or send another message?

You can have 2 open tickets at a time: close one, or wait for our answer. Inside a ticket you can send 3 messages in a row, then the composer waits for our reply. We read everything, and we're on it.

How do I delete my support data?

Go to Settings → Support → Delete my support data. Your tickets, messages and install id are erased from our server. If you open Support again later, you start from scratch.

How do I play on my TV with Chromecast?

Put your phone on the same Wi-Fi as your Chromecast or Google TV, tap the cast button in the player or on a film or episode page, and choose your TV. The first time, allow local network access. While you cast, your phone is the remote, and a mini bar takes you back to it from any screen.

Smart One doesn't find my Chromecast

Make sure the phone and the TV are on the same Wi-Fi (not a guest network) and that no VPN is on. In the iOS Settings app → Privacy & Security → Local Network, check that Smart One is allowed. Then tap Retry in the device list.

A video won't play on Chromecast

Chromecast plays HLS, MP4 and WebM streams, but not most MKV or AVI files. Tap “Play on the phone” to watch it here instead. Some providers also refuse plain http links or a second device.

What can I download?

Films and episodes from your own playlist, to watch without a connection. Live channels and catch-up can't be downloaded. Single downloads are free; “Download season” needs Smart One Premium. A downloaded title plays from the phone and shows an Offline mark.

My download doesn't start

With “Wi-Fi only” on in Settings, downloads wait for Wi-Fi. Smart One also needs room for the file plus 1 GB to spare, and runs 2 downloads at a time while the others wait in line. If a download fails, the reason is shown with Retry; some providers refuse downloads.

How do I free up space?

In Downloads, swipe an item to delete it, or use “Delete all”. The screen shows the space used and what's left on your device. You can also turn on “Delete watched downloads” in Settings.
